Dungeon Rampage Remastered — Solo & Friends Only

Evidence checked · Remastered 1.0 · official-news review November 6, 2026

The short answer

Before starting a run, enable Friends Only to reduce random players joining. It still allows friends to enter: it is not a promise that you will remain alone. Playing alone also still requires an internet connection.

The launch-period community answer identifies the setting; the older same-game discussion records the friend exception. New-player discussion · captured November 4, 2026, reply #1; December 8–11, 2025 discussion, replies #1–2.

Before you start the dungeon

  1. Use the run’s Friends Only setting before starting, rather than leaving the run open to random players.
  2. Start the level you want to play. If you want a level you already finished, choose it through the Battle Menu replay route.
  3. When moving between levels, check that the setting is still enabled. The developer’s August 31 update says the Friends Only choice was changed to persist between levels.

These sources identify the option and when to use it; they do not establish a current button coordinate or a separate fully private mode. December 2025 reply #1; Modern Backend, Better Loot! Update #14 · August 31, 2026.

A friend joining is a different case

What you seeWhat the setting can address
Unfamiliar players keep appearingFriends Only is the documented choice for restricting random joining.
Someone from your friends joinsThis remains possible. Friends Only does not exclude friends.
You want a guaranteed one-person sessionThe cited sources do not establish an exclusion setting that guarantees this.
You want to disconnect from the internetFriends Only does not provide an offline campaign.

A December 2025 player explicitly warned that friends could still join. We do not recommend removing friends as a workaround. Same-AppID online-solo discussion, reply #2.

Solo is still online

The August 2026 offline discussion states that an internet connection is required even when playing alone. That is a community report, not a test performed by this site. The launch-period newcomer’s Friends Only answer does not claim to add offline play. Does this game run offline? · August 12–13, 2026, reply #1; New-player discussion · captured November 4, 2026, reply #1.

If your problem is a connection failure rather than unwanted players, this setting is not an established fix. This guide does not supply port changes or a general networking repair procedure.

Check the result without overreading it

The useful check is whether Friends Only is enabled before your next run. A run that stays empty once does not prove nobody can join later. If a friend appears, that fits the documented limitation; if unfamiliar players still appear, record the setting state and game version before treating it as a different issue.

The November 2026 original poster thanked the responder but did not report a fully reproduced fix. We use the reply as a dated operation tip, with the friend exception kept visible. New-player discussion · captured November 4, 2026, reply #1.

You have chosen the documented setting to restrict random joining and understand that friends can still join. This completes the matchmaking choice; it does not establish an offline or guaranteed private run.
