Dungeon Rampage Remastered — Battle Chef Builds: Cooking, Pots & Melee

Evidence checked · Source review November 6, 2026 · dated Remastered guidance

The short answer

For Battle Chef, the community guide’s default is 0 Melee Power, 75 Cooking, 75 Max Health and 50 Mana Regen. Its two-Cooking-Pot support row uses 0 / 50 / 75 / 75; its melee row uses 75 / 0 / 75 / 50. Choose whether cooking support, sustained pot use or melee damage is your actual job.

The November 3 patch changed the Cooking Pot’s defense buff to 25%. A support build is not evidence that its old 50% defense value still applies.

Three Chef roles without mixing their goals

AllocationMelee PowerCookingMax HealthMana RegenChoose it for
Default0/7575/7575/7550/75A cooking-oriented role with high health.
Two-Pot support0/7550/7575/7575/75Favor regeneration when supporting with two Cooking Pots.
Melee75/750/7575/7550/75Spend on melee damage instead of Cooking.

Each row allocates 200 points in total and treats 75 as the per-stat ceiling shown by the source. It is a finished allocation, not a verified level-by-level spending order. If you do not have that many points, use the stated role to plan ahead; the source does not establish a refund method, a respec cost or a mandatory order for your next point.

The two-Pot row assumes two Cooking Pots

The support variant trades 25 Cooking points for 25 Mana Regen. The author links that trade to frequent support use with two pots. If you are carrying a melee-focused set instead, copying the support row will not add the missing melee investment.

  1. Choose the role your group needs.
  2. For the two-Pot option, confirm both required Cooking Pots are available.
  3. For melee, recognize that the source row sets Cooking to zero.
  4. Compare the result against that selected job rather than judging all three rows by personal damage alone.

Cooking Pot defense changed in 1.0

The developer reduced Battle Chef’s Cooking Pot defense buff from 50% to 25% while raising the overall defense cap from 50% to 75%. Consumable and legendary defense effects also changed. These are separate values; do not carry an old 50% Pot assumption into a 1.0 plan. 1.0 defense changes.

Use the defense comparison to read those changes together. This source does not provide a complete formula for every combined equipment and buff interaction.

Versatility still requires a choice

The community author emphasizes healing, buffs, versatility and high health. A practical tradeoff remains visible in the allocations: the melee option spends nothing on Cooking, while the two cooking options spend nothing on Melee Power. Do not turn the author’s favorable overall opinion into a promise that every setup has no weakness or solves every group’s problem.

You have selected a Battle Chef role, checked whether your equipment and group role call for two Pots, cooking or melee, and compared the four named training values with the allocation you intended. If the weapon assumption is missing or a later patch changes that stat, revisit the choice rather than treating the row as a guaranteed result.
