Dungeon Rampage Remastered — Choose a Pet: Damage, Tanking or Pickup

Evidence checked · Source review November 6, 2026 · dated Remastered guidance

The short answer

Choose a pet by the job you need: the November-updated community comparison describes Flame Dragon for ranged burn damage, War Rhino for tanking and crowd control, and Night Wolf for fast attacks plus collecting coins and stars it walks over. Night Wolf’s pickup is not a magnet.

The same source says pets can die to enemies or traps and return after 60 seconds. A companion does not make a dangerous route automatically safe, and paid or historical variants need separate availability checks.

Make the choice before spending

  1. Identify the missing role in your own setup: ranged damage, a tougher control companion or pickup utility.
  2. Compare the cost in the live game with the dated source-listed amount above. This is not a live shop feed.
  3. Consider your hero’s weakness: for example, a fragile ranged setup may value a tanking role differently from a fast exit run.
  4. Check whether you are buying the regular pet or a paid variant. Similar appearance does not prove identical attacks.

The author favors War Rhino for UR. That is a use-case recommendation from the author, not our measured universal best-pet result.

Paid variants and historical pets are separate

The source describes Venom Dragon as a paid Flame Dragon variant with poison/AoE behavior, and Shadow Wolf as a paid Night Wolf variant with teleport/AoE knockback. We do not turn the author’s regional euro price into a worldwide current price.

Vorpal Bunny and Furball are described as restricted rather than currently purchasable in that comparison. Its Dark Dragon discussion is explicitly original Facebook-era history. It does not establish a current way to buy or unlock Dark Dragon in Remastered.

Death, return and duplicate ownership

The guide says a pet killed by enemies or traps returns after 60 seconds. That is the community source’s stated behavior, not a fresh timer test by this site. If a pet disappears, distinguish death and return from an account-ownership problem before buying another.

The author also describes owning separate copies for different heroes and a confirmation when buying duplicates. Check the ownership and confirmation shown to you; we do not have a verified current equip shortcut or claim that one purchase is automatically assigned to every hero.

You have chosen a role, checked regular versus paid/restricted availability and compared the actual purchase display. A pet death or an old Dark Dragon description is not evidence that you must buy a duplicate.
