Dungeon Rampage Remastered — Defense Buffs & the 75% Cap

Evidence checked · Source review November 6, 2026 · dated Remastered guidance

The short answer

The November 3 1.0 patch raises the defense cap from 50% to 75%, increases consumable defense buffs from 5% to 25%, and reduces both Legendary defense buffs and Battle Chef Cooking Pot defense from 50% to 25%.

These are separate effect changes. An old 50% Pot or Legendary buff is not the current 1.0 value, and a higher cap is not proof that one 25% effect gives 75% defense.

Review the effect you actually have

  1. Identify whether the source of defense is a consumable, a Legendary buff, a Cooking Pot or another part of your build.
  2. Compare that effect with the relevant 1.0 row rather than treating all four numbers as one stat.
  3. Keep the 75% cap separate from the bonus supplied by an individual effect.
  4. Check current in-game descriptions before spending or changing a support role.

The patch also fixes defense-related stacking and client calculation issues. It does not provide a complete, independently tested formula for every equipment and buff combination; we do not simply add percentages into a promised final reduction.

Hero training and a timed buff have different scope

Berserker’s Ultimate Defense training and the 1.0 Rampage health-floor buff are additional hero-specific context. The Rampage note says health does not drop below 10% of maximum while its buff applies; it is not permanent defense for every hero.

Read Battle Chef’s two-Pot support tradeoff and Berserker’s defense-versus-damage allocations with these version changes attached.

You can name the effect you are using, its published 1.0 value and the separate cap. An unverified sum of every buff is not a successful defense calculation.
